Life Drawing Class for Beginners and Improvers

In this two-hour life drawing session designed for beginners and improvers, we create a welcoming and relaxed environment where you can explore figure drawing. Whether you’ve never picked up a pencil to draw the human form or you’re looking to build on some basic skills, this class offers a supportive space to learn and develop. We work from a live model. Gentle instruction is provided throughout.

The focus is on enjoyment and discovery rather than perfection, making it a great place to try life drawing for the first time. There’s no need to bring anything except some enthusiasm and a willingness to ‘have a go’. Materials are provided, and no previous experience is required. Whether you’re curious about drawing the figure or want to improve your observational skills, this session is the perfect opportunity to relax, draw, and learn in a friendly, creative atmosphere.

Landscape Painting Class – Outdoor

In this four-hour outdoor painting session, set in the beautiful surroundings of Woods Mill nature reserve, we create a relaxed and welcoming space for beginners and improvers to explore landscape painting outdoors. Whether you’re completely new to painting or looking to build on your basic skills, this class offers gentle guidance in a stunning natural setting. This teaching session will be focused on oil painting techniques.

We’ll begin with a short introduction to key concepts such as composition and tonal values to help you get started. Then, with support available throughout, you’ll move on to create your own painting, inspired by the woods, water, and wildlife around you.

The focus is on enjoying the process and developing your observational skills, rather than creating a perfect finished piece. You’ll need to bring your own materials, a list of suggested materials and colours will be supplied when enquiring about booking. An easel can be provided. This is a great opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and get creative in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Why not give it a try?
